Things Your Wedding Photographers Wished You Knew

On your wedding day, we are all conscious about our appearances, we take care of small things like how not to scowl or stick your tongue out or let anything ruin your face so that all photographs are perfect. But that is not all from a photographer's point of view. According to a famous wedding photographer from Maui, it is not easy to get a good face shot when girls keep on sipping Mimosas to cool keep their nerves calm.  There are lot many things that would like to suggest their clients, lot many do’s and don’ts that can assure best photography experience. We spoke to some photographers in Maui as well as some others in Hawaii.

The first thing that every photographer wishes a client to remember is to keep drinking out of their way when the photographers arrive. Good shots come in when you allow natural light to seep in, so, wherever you are getting ready open up the windows and ventilation bars. That is the secret to getting all those memorable moments caged in pictures forever. Next thing, please understand the man behind the camera is a professional and not a magician, they can edit the colors, contrasts, and angles of photographs but not update your physical profile with a wand. So. try to keep a realistic expectation in your mind. Your happiness and smile will always weigh more than your looks in the pictures as well as real life. So, focus on that. Whatever you do and whatever editing software they apply, you will still look you. Stand straight, push your shoulders back, lift your chin and smile with a clear mind and cheerful heart, that’s the biggest secret to beautiful photographs. Get over the idea of looking prettiest than ever and unnaturally beautiful like those over photoshopped pictures in bridal magazines. No one can ever match those standards.

Next, take care of your makeup and avoid overdoing it. A thin layer of makeup is enough, please don’t wear too dark eye shadows or liners. While the pictures are edited, you eyes are the first thing that will get lost in the procedure. Also, please don’t fake tan or bronzer over your chest for blending darker tones. It leads to a very scary effect in editing process, almost 3 out of five photographers suggested this. And lastly, please try to keep your calm and not to ask the photographer every time they click to show the photograph. It is a time consuming and futile exercise. You cannot tell which photograph will look best after editing, so please have some patience.
